Scuba diving remains one of the wildly popular sportive hobbies in the world today and this has fueled a huge vacationing industry that spans the globe. Common Notions of the Best Places to Scuba Dive
For lack of a better word, there are certain stereotypes when it comes to the subject of what are the best places to scuba dive. In other words, when the subject of the destinations to scuba comes up, people will automatically get an image in their mind that is reflective of common destination spots such as California, Thailand, the Bahamas, etc. In other words, most people associate scuba diving with sunny locations or places that are known for summertime hobbies. Now, there is good reason for this because there is a huge volume of scuba diving that goes on in these areas. However, these areas are not the totality of scuba diving.
Alternate Destinations and the Best Places to Scuba Dive
The south pacific is an excellent destination spot for scuba diving and it provides certain excellent unique benefits for those wishing to have a blast while diving. For example, in the South Pacific there is a fleet of sunken World War Two ships that are visited by wreck divers who rave about the beauty of this undersea treasure. Yet, this destination spot does not seem to attract the waves of divers that other areas do. Now, for a less exotic locale, the west coast of the United States is loaded with interesting diving locales such as Puget Sound in Washington. Heading further north, the waters of Alaska can also yield some wonderful diving experiences. Yet, Alaska and the Puget Sound are sadly often neglected. This is quite the shame as they provide wonderful experiences for divers. Again, the best places to scuba dive are often subjective.
